PROBLEM
During a 10 week course, I apply the design thinking lens to create concepts for the new Brooklyn light rail Station in the University District of Seattle.
DESIGN PROCESS
I conducting my exploration using a User Centered Design process. I start from secondary research, direct user research, speaking to subject matter experts, generating a broad number of ideas, refining those concepts down to a few, diving deeply into a single concept and testing our concepts with users to refine to a final product.

FINAL DESIGN
My final design includes one exterior drawing and two interior drawings with all my concepts mapping out in the space. I also tie some storyboards back to the experience map to show how rider Mary from my persona will interact with the station.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Moving forward, I would work on the actual UI of the interactive screens and the display screens attached to the direction stand. I also will try to incorporate future technology in the station.
It is my first time approaching spatial design from a user centered design angle. It really reassures me the power of experience design. I would love to do more projects similar to this one in the future to expand my scope of work.
